There will be a minimum of 3 different activities each day chosen from the following categories: sports, STEM challenges, arts & crafts, games & team-building activities. Campers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, snacks, shoes/clothes they can run around in and some excited energy!
A typical day would look something like this:
9:00-9:15 Ice Breaker Activity
9:15-9:20 Introduction of the Sport of the day
9:20-10:05 Participation and instruction in the Sport of the day
10:05-10:20 Snack/Water/potty break
10:20-10:25 Introduction to a STEM/Art & Craft activity
10:25-11:10 STEM/Art & Craft Activity
11:10-11:15 Water/potty break
11:15-11:20 Introduction of a Team-building activity/game
11:20-12:00 Team-building activity/game
12:00-12:15 Camper pick-up
Jared graduated from Cy-Falls High School in 2010 and has 6+ years of experience in recreation programming and 5+ years of experience working with children & youth. After graduating with a degree in Recreation Management from BYU, Jared completed an internship with Steps Recovery Centers in Spanish Fork, Utah focusing on creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through the intentional use of wholesome recreation. He received his certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist shortly thereafter and moved back to Houston where he went to work at IntraCare North Behavioral Hospital creating and implementing the recreational services offered to all youth and children. For the last 3 years he has been managing Louetta Automotive Sports Complex and most importantly he is EXCITED FOR A SUPER AWESOME FUN TIME THIS SUMMER!
We follow the American Camp Association guidelines for staffing:
Ages 6-8, 1 staff for each 8 campers
Ages 9-12, 1 staff for each 10 campers
We are bringing together an energetic group of camp counselors who have made it their goal to ensure a safe, fun and educational camp experience!
